Naby Keita injury prognosis revealed as medical tests continue
Naby Keita could struggle to be fit for the start of the 2019/20 season, according to the Mirror.
Liverpool’s No.8 returned to England after sustaining thigh and groin injuries while on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations with Guinea.
The midfielder will undergo tests today to determine the extent of his injuries, but the initial outlook is reportedly bleak.
“He picked this injury up in the semi-finals of the European Champions League and he has been training and playing but never at 100%, and we have to think about after the Nations Cup,” a press officer for Guinea said.

Jurgen Klopp has been reluctant to let Keita join Guinea for the tournament in Egypt but had submitted to requests from coach Paul Put to allow the 24-year-old to play.
He made a substitute appearance in the first game and started the second against Nigeria, but was forced to leave the field after 70 minutes with a recurrence of an abductor issue.
Guinea had hoped to have him back within days, but it now appears as though the player will remain on Merseyside to continue his recovery.
If his injuries are as bad as Liverpool fear, Keita could be forced to sit out the next few weeks and may miss the start of the next Premier League campaign.
