Watch: Liverpool Prepare for Super Cup Battle

The team are in Istanbul training for the match on Wednesday.

The players looked in high spirits as their plane touched down in Istanbul on Tuesday. The Super Cup match, which will be played against Chelsea, will take place at Vodafone Arena, home of Beşiktaş JK.

In the build-up for this midweek match, the official site has released an Inside Istanbul video, which shows the team arriving in the city, as well as some of the training exercises Klopp put them through in preparation for Wednesday’s match.

A warning though: watching the team go through the drills will likely make you miss Alisson even more.

We see part of the press conference with Klopp, Mané, and van Dijk. Mané was obviously a very welcome sight, and while he may not start in the match on Wednesday, having him back and fit to play feels good.

The video ends with Mohamed Salah playing keep-uppy with a boy with no legs, who nevertheless uses his head to match Salah tit-for-tat.

The sobering news about Naby Keïta also missing games due to a muscle injury was a dark cloud over fans on Tuesday, but short clip should hopefully bring some smiles back.
