Zidane called Mane this summer to talk about Real Madrid move

Zinedine Zidane called Sadio Mane this summer to discuss a potential move to the Bernabeu, according to French outlet Soccer Link, but Florentino Perez wasn’t keen on the move.
The report suggests that Mane was open to the idea of swapping Liverpool for Real Madrid but club president Florentino Perez vetoed a deal because Los Blancos had signed Rodrygo and Eden Hazard already.
Liverpool themselves were against a deal being agreed and told Madrid that the Senegal attacker was not for sale.
Mane scored a brace against Chelsea on Wednesday evening as his side beat Chelsea on penalties to win the UEFA Super Cup final and secure their second piece of silverware in the space of a few months.
The former Southampton winger was crucial last season and had it not been for his purple patch at the start of 2019, Liverpool’s title bid might have ended well before the final day of the season.
Since joining the club for £34million in 2016, Mane has scored or assisted 77 goals for the Reds and is easily one of the most influential players under Klopp’s tutelage.
