Liverpool fans get #Mbappe2020 trending on Twitter
Liverpool fans have hilariously made #Mbappe2020 trending on Twitter after the Reds won their court case against New Balance on Friday.
Despite New Balance claiming they had the right to remain as Liverpool’s kit maker due to a ‘matching clause’, a high court ruling has declared that they don’t have a case and that they cannot appeal the decision.
Liverpool are now free to sign a five year deal with Nike which has prompted obvious links to PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe given his own personal merchandise agreement with the Oregon-based sportswear company.
Fans on Twitter have responded with excitement at the mere thought of the 20-year-old joining the club, prompting the hashtag #Mbappe2020 to trend on Twitter.
Loooool we’ve actually made #Mbappe2020 trending. You know you want to join @KMbappe.

Mbappe would obviously be an unreal player for Liverpool, with his prodigious talent likely to succeed anywhere in the world and fans are clearly doing their utmost to make it a reality.
The issue, of course, isn’t creating an interest in the forward but rather in whether or not Liverpool are prepared to break the world record transfer fee paid for a player.
PSG paid £198 million to sign Neymar from Barcelona and there’s no doubt the Ligue 1 star will fetch more than that when he eventually leaves France.
