Jurgen Klopp’s new contract does not include vital clause
The new contract that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has signed does not contain a break clause, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
Klopp, who led the Reds to European glory last season, has extended his stay at Anfield until 2024.
There had been speculation that Klopp’s contract would contain a clause that allowed him to quit the Anfield club at the end of the 2022-23 season. However, according to Ornstein, the German’s new contract does not include a break clause.

This is fantastic news for the Anfield faithful. Klopp, who has been in charge of Liverpool since 2015, has revitalised the club.
There is no evidence to suggest that Liverpool appear to be slowing down, either. Klopp’s Liverpool are currently 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool have also given themselves an opportunity to win back-to-back Champions League titles having qualified for the round of 16. The Reds will face Atletico Madrid.
As of right now, Klopp’s Liverpool are set to play in the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar. The Reds will face Moneterrey in the semi-final stage.
