Liverpool set to sign Coventry youngster
Liverpool Football Club are set to sign Coventry City left-back Sam McCallum, according to 90min.
The report states that Liverpool will sign the 19-year-old in January before loaning him back to Coventry City for the remainder of the season.
McCallum has had 20 sides show interest in gaining his signature, but it appears Liverpool have won the race.
The left-back has made a total of 16 appearances in all competitions this season, as he has been a regular for the Sky Blues.

This appears to be a solid bit of business by the Reds. Under Jurgen Klopp, many young players such as Andy Robertson, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold have improved rapidly.
The club will be hoping Klopp can have a similar impact on McCallum. Despite the fact Liverpool have James Milner in the squad, the Reds do lack genuine cover for Robertson, which also makes this signing a smart one.
With Liverpool allowing McCallum to return to Coventry City on loan for the remainder of the season, he will gain more invaluable senior experience.
