Many Reds rip into Erling Haaland after Champions League clash
Many Reds have taken to Twitter to let Erling Haaland know exactly what they thought of his performance in the Champions League last night.
The Salzburg forward was very confident before the game. He predicted his side would claim a 3-1 victory and that he would score all three goals himself.
Journalist: What's your prediction for tomorrow?
Haaland: 3-1 to Salzburg.
Journalist: And you score all the three goals?
Haaland: Yes. pic.twitter.com/GGHqaMVyOf

That did not happen, as Liverpool left Austria with a 2-0 victory. The win ensured Jurgen Klopp’s side progressed to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Had Liverpool lost, the club would have been dumped into the Europa League and Salzburg would have progressed to the round of 16.
Come the end of the game, those associated with Liverpool had no problems taking aim at Haaland’s pre-game predictions.

Salzburg should've started Haaland tonight.

Haaland was cocky saying he would beat LFC scoring 3 goals himself with a smile. Son stay humble. This ain’t Jurgen’s first rodeo. He got subbed out with only 1 shot on goal and 0 goals to his name.

Liverpool reminding why they are European champions. Majestic from Van Dijk. Made Haaland look like a bus with no breaks. Another captain’s performance from Henderson. Moved on to a new level this season. Passing range seems to have increased. Keita glided through that. Superb.

Would have Minamino over Håland, all day long.

Good morning Reds, how's last night feeling . surely Haaland learnt his lessons about wishful thinking against the Reds. Salah love tough goals, keita's goal good for his confy , Big Ali saves again and VvD another teacher gatecrashing a primary school football game

Haaland, 19, got what he deserved in the end. Liverpool warranted more respect than what he was giving them before the match.
There is a reason Klopp’s side are the current champions of Europe. Haaland is clearly a talent, but regardless of how good you are, you should never be making such comments before a big match.
