PSG reportedly identify Liverpool star as Neymar replacement
Paris Saint-Germain have identified Liverpool forward Sadio Mane as the replacement for Neymar should he depart the club in the summer, according to Get Football News France.
Mane, who moved from Southampton to Liverpool for a fee of £34 million back in the summer of 2016, has developed into one of the best players in world football under Jurgen Klopp.
With this being the case, the Senegal international is going to attract attention elsewhere. The report suggests that PSG are impressed with the intensity Mane brings to a match in attack and defence.
PSG feel Mane “counters the perceived weak points of Neymar’s” game. The report also mentions that PSG admire Mane’s mentality.

To conclude, the report added that Mane is considered the “perfect” candidate to replace Neymar if he were to leave PSG in the summer.
The 27-year-old has bagged nine goals from 15 Premier League matches this season, which highlights the quality he possesses in front of goal.
Considering PSG’s inability to win the Champions League, it is difficult to see Mane entertaining the idea of a move to France.
Liverpool, as of right now, are arguably the best side in world football. Any move, especially to a club such as PSG, would be a downgrade.
If Mane were to depart Liverpool in the future, one does get the feeling it would be for Barcelona or Real Madrid. As he has been Liverpool’s best player this season, hopefully the thought of leaving has never entered his mind.
