The Brazilian took part in full training ahead of the midweek clash with Atlético Madrid.

Liverpool’s midfield at the weekend was not quite up to its organizational best after Naby Keïta left the pitch with injury, and Jürgen Klopp’s side slumped to a deserved draw against a sharp Brighton team intent on causing problems.

While the midfield injury “crisis” certainly doesn’t match the issues at center back last season — we have midfielders to play in the midfield, at least — the bench against Brighton was lacking in players who can be called first and second choice in that position.

The pictures released from Monday’s training, therefore, were heartening: Thiago and Fabinho with big smiles on joining in on the action.

Given how sharp the forwards have been, an injury boost in the midfield is exactly what the team needs to continue their (ridiculous) unbeaten run in the league.

It’s unclear whether either player is fit enough to start against Atlético Madrid, but having them back in training takes the Reds out of the early crisis mode the team was slipping into, and fans will hope to see both back on the pitch before long.
