The Greek Scouser had only compliments for his teammates after Liverpool’s latest win

Following Liverpool’s comeback win away at Crystal Palace, left back Kostas Tsimikas was quick to praise the resilience of the team in achieving their goal to Liverpoolfc.com:

“It was really hard. [Selhurst Park is] a very tough place to come but at the end we saw again our character. We never give up, Harvey scored this unbelievable goal and we took the three points.

“They were very compact from the start of the game. We tried to create something but it didn’t go well. So it was really, really tough and always when we come here it’s a hard pitch to play on.

“At the end the only thing that matters is the three points and we have to keep going for the rest of the season.”

Tsimikas’ comments about his teammates were quite special, as they really emphasized the joy he brings to the game (he’s just one of us, really). Speaking of Salah, the defender was clear in his regard for the Egyptian, who registered his 200th Liverpool goal this weekend:

“It’s crazy how good he is, as a player and especially as a man. He always works very hard and always tries to work more, especially with finishing. He absolutely deserves everything.

“He’s my guy in the team, we are always together. I’m really happy for him and glad to have him next to me for his achievement.”

Speaking of Alisson, too, Tsimikas echoed the thoughts of many Liverpool fans across the globe:

“When we speak about Ali we are speaking, for me personally, about the best goalkeeper in the world. What saves, unbelievable! What a guy as well.”

Tsimikas believes the weekend’s win was merely one piece in a set of broader goals for Jürgen Klopp’s Reds this season:

“At the start of the season we made some changes, especially in the midfield position, and we set our goals. We said from the start of the season we go for everything we can.

“We have to take it game by game until the end of the season and I think the future can be bright for us. We have to work even harder just to give absolutely everything on the pitch.”

Is right, Tsimikas.
