Early chatter linking Crysencio Summerville with Liverpool has faded of late and now Dutch reports have Paris Saint-Germain as favourites.

Early in the summer, Liverpool were linked with Leeds United’s standout young winger Crysencio Summerville, with the 22-year-old Dutch attacker widely expected to depart the Championship club following last season’s promotion playoff disappointment.

However, that chatter has largely faded in recent weeks, and the most recent reports out of the Netherlands have Paris Saint-Germain as current favourites to sign Summerville ahead of previously mooted Premier League sides including Liverpool and Chelsea.

Despite being born in Rotterdam and developing in Feyenoord’s academy, Summerville’s move to England and Leeds United back in 2020 came early enough in his career for the player to qualify as domestically trained for squad registration purposes.

Summerville has also been lightly linked with other English clubs including Brighton and Fulham. Chelsea and Liverpool, though, were always considered more likely destinations—with his homegrown status seen as additionally appealing to both clubs.

That would make an eventual move to France with PSG mildly surprising, but with the departure of Kylian Mbappe this summer there’s certainly room for a talented young attacker of his profile to earn minutes and make an impact for them in Ligue 1.
