Official: Liverpool Reunite with Adidas for 2025-26 Season

The Reds had long been expected to switch to Adidas when their Nike deal ends this season and that has now been officially confirmed.
It’s been something an open secret for some time now that come the end of the 2024-25 season and the expiration of their five-year contract with Nike, Liverpool would be reuniting with Adidas. Today, the club officially announced the upcoming switch.
For the reds, it’s a return to their most-used manufacturer since 1973 and the third time in their history where they will partner with Adidas following stretches from 1985-1996 and 2006-2012, periods that produced some of the club’s most memorable kits.
“Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome adidas back into the LFC family,” CEO Billy Hogan said in the official announcement. “We have enjoyed fantastic success together in the past and created some of the most iconic LFC kits of all time.”
Liverpool first partnered with Umbro as their supplier in 1973 and stuck with them until Adidas took over in 1985. Reebok then had a decade from 1996-2006 and following their second Adidas stint they worked with Warrior, New Balance, and then Nike.
Their Nike deal had paid a relatively low guaranteed base £30M fee but an unusually high 20% royalty on all sales. The new deal doubles the guaranteed base to £60M and is said to also involve as yet unspecified royalties and performance-based escalators.
