Rumour Mongering: Premier League Clubs Circle Around Huijsen

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham all want one thing: Dean Huijsen.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported on Liverpool FC’s interest in Dean Huijsen, Bournemouth’s 19-year-old Spanish centre-back. Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham are all mentioned by Ornstein as interested parties.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham have all met Dean Huijsen representatives ahead of decision being made on 19yo centre-back’s future. Bournemouth & player want swift outcome. Release clause £50m. That + more in weekly Q&A @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/vBBKB2qeA5

“I now understand that Liverpool are among the clubs with a firm interest in Dean Huijsen. This has been reported elsewhere and is accurate. Chelsea have enquired and Arsenal are in the mix, too.”
“At the moment, those are perhaps the three leading contenders but not the only ones, with Newcastle and Tottenham also keen.”
Anyone who’s followed Huijsen’s career will have known of the Amsterdam-born defender’s fondness for Real Madrid. With them in need of defenders, will they make a move for Huijsen? Here’s what Ornstein had to say about the subject:
“I believe [Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal] have all held meetings or conversations with Huijsen’s camp in the last week. It has been well documented that Real Madrid held great appeal for Huijsen growing up and they do like him.”
“But I don’t know of them actively working on it. Therefore — at the time of writing — it looks most probable he will join another Premier League club.”
“I think there’s a desire on the part of Bournemouth and the player to have this situation decided asap. The £50 million release clause makes it a clean and potentially quick deal to do, which we’ve seen Liverpool capitalise on in the past.”
There’s a certain other Bournemouth player who has also been heavily linked to the Reds. We’ll find out soon if it’s one, two or even zero Cherries joining Liverpool real soon.
