Joe Gomez – 6
Made a good block in the latter stages of the game, in what was a game where he wasn’t tested too much down the left hand side.

Joel Matip – 6.5
A much improved performance. Dealt with business at the back, and looked to move the ball quickly into midfield and down the flanks.

Dejan Lovren – 6.5
Solid performance on his return to the side. Dealt with everything he needed to. Won any aerial duels to clean up at the back.

Andrew Robertson – 7
Given a lot of space to exploit down the left hand side. Always pushing to create opportunities and put balls into the attackers.

Emre Can – 7.5
More of a commanding midfield performance from the German. Helped control the flow of the side, with a hand in multiple chances. Also got his own goal to open the scoring with a deflected strike.

Jordan Henderson – 7
A strong return for the skipper, in his first start in 2018. Looked relatively sharp and composed. Helped control the midfield completely.

James Milner – 7
Solid all round from Milner. Calmed proceedings down, helping to orchestrate the pace of Liverpool’s play throughout the match.

Sadio ManĂ© – 5.5
A mixed performance from ManĂ©, as he still struggles to hit the heights that he’s capable of. Couldn’t capitalise on two second half headed opportunities, but did play a key role in the lead up to Firmino’s goal with his delicate flick.

Mohamed Salah – 7.5
Always posing a threat with his pace and strength. Gets his goal from the penalty spot – his 26th goal of the season.

Roberto Firmino – 8
Scores an outrageously clever goal to end the first half and put the Reds two goals up. Always looking to move the ball and create opportunities.
