Barry Lewtas appointed Liverpool’s U18 manager

Liverpool Football Club have confirmed that Barry Lewtas will take the vacant U18s position.

Steven Gerrard was the previous man in charge of the U18s, but as he has taken up the managerial role of the first-team at Rangers, Liverpool were forced into a change.

Academy director Alex Inglethorpe told Liverpoolfc.com: “We’re delighted Barry has decided to take up this position.

“He already has a strong relationship with those players who will make the step up to our U18s in 2018-19 thanks to his previous role with the U16s.”

Following Lewtas’ appointment, Marc Bridge-Wilkinson will manage Liverpool’s U16s side.
