Danny Ings seeking move away from Liverpool

Danny Ings will seek a move away from Liverpool this summer as he wants to play more minutes, according to The Telegraph.

There are a number of clubs interested in the forward, but who leads the race to sign Ings is yet to be revealed.

Ings has two-years left on his contract which would not allow Liverpool to demand a lucrative fee in the transfer market. The Reds actually offered Ings a new long-term deal, but he feels a move away is best to rejuvenate his career.

Ings had a solid start to his Liverpool career when he signed for the club heading into the 2015-16 season, but injuries have played a massive part in why he has never got the minutes on the pitch he would have liked.

The Englishman feels that minutes on the pitch will be too hard to come by with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino around the squad.

Inge scored the last goal of the Brendan Rodgers era in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park in 2015. His last goal for the club came in the final stages of the recent Premier League season against West Bromwich Albion.
