Jan Oblak provides update on his future

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has provided an update on his future with speculation suggesting he could be on the move.

Liverpool are one of a number of clubs linked with Oblak, who reportedly possesses an £80million buyout clause.

Speaking to AS, Oblak didn’t give too much away.

“I have a contract,” Oblak said. “Of course, I like the team we are building.”

“People talk about things, they have their opinions, but I’ve always said I have a contract here and I don’t know what will happen in the future.”

It is unclear at this moment who Liverpool will pursue heavily in the goalkeeping department, but with the departure of Simon Mignolet looking inevitable, Jurgen Klopp will be looking for a replacement.

There is also the argument around whether Loris Karius will be Liverpool’s No 1 next season after his poor performance in the Champions League final, which leaves more questions regarding the type of ‘keeper the Reds will sign.
