Shamal George latest to depart on loan
Goalkeeper Shamal George has become the latest youngster to leave Liverpool on loan after agreeing to join Tranmere Rovers for the first half of the 2018/19 season.
He has followed Adam Bodgan (Hibernian), Ryan Kent, Ovie Ejaria (Rangers), Harry Wilson (Derby) and Taiwo Awoniyi (Gent) out of the temporary exit door.
George, who has been with the club for nearly a decade, agreed a contract extension before joining the League Two side.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Carlisle but was restricted to just seven appearances.

Liverpool may look to add a new young ‘keeper to their ranks after George sealed his loan move.
They were interested in the promising Gavin Bazunu, but he looks set to remain at Shamrock Rovers.
Two other talented goalkeepers – Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher – have been part of the first-team set-up during pre-season and their promotion could prove permanent, with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius both considering their futures.
