Steven Gerrard reels in first competitive win as Rangers manager

Steven Gerrard has his first competitive win next to his name as Rangers manager after his side defeated Macedonian outfit FC Shkupi at the Ibrox in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
Gerrard’s side prevailed 2-0 victors with goals from Scotland international Jamie Murphy and Gerrard’s captain, James Tavernier.
Former Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan started for Gerrard’s Rangers, and almost had the dream debut when his deflected cross almost found the back of the net.

Ovie Ejaria, who is on loan from Liverpool, made his Rangers debut coming off the bench in the second half. He was bright in his limited time on the pitch with his ability to dribble at the opposition.
Gerrard’s Rangers will be looking to secure their place in the next qualifying round of the Europa League come Tuesday evening when they travel to Macedonia.
