Keita, Sturridge in full training, trio on special programmes
Naby Keita is back in full training, along with Daniel Sturridge, after recovering from the neck injury which sidelined him for two of the club’s three friendlies in the United States.
Keita missed the matches against Manchester City and United as a largely precautionary measure after hurting his neck on a prolonged flight to New Jersey.
But after being eased back into action he played a full part in the squad’s 90-minute training session in Evian on Thursday morning, according to the Liverpool Echo‘s James Pearce.
Sturridge is also on a different programme to his team-mates as the club’s medical staff look to ensure he does not face another season spent predominantly on the treatment table.
The Englishman reportedly looked ‘fit and strong’ in the session.

Adam Lallana, Joe Gomez and Marko Grujic, meanwhile, were all absent, but ESPNFC claim they too are on specially-tailored regimes.
Lallana was injured for much of the 2017/18 campaign, while Gomez missed the tail-end of the season after undgoing an operation on his ankle.
It is believed that players are deliberately being withdrawn from particular sessions as part of an elaborate plan implemented by the coaching staff.
Elsewhere, the four goalkeepers in the 29-man squad – new signing Alisson, Loris Karius, Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher – conducted additional work with coach John Achterberg after the outfield players had finished.
