Mohamed Salah injured on international duty with Egypt
Mohamed Salah has left international duty with Egypt injured and has returned to Liverpool, according to the BBC.
The 26-year-old attacker picked up his injury during Egypt’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with eSwatini, which his side won comfortably 4-1.
Salah had scored in the match just before half-time, netting directly from a corner kick to make it 4-0.

However, he limped off the pitch later in the match with a muscle strain.
Egypt assistant coach Hany Ramzy spoke about the injury after the game: “The initial diagnosis, according to the team doctor, is a strong muscle strain. It is not a tear. I think it is not serious.”
Salah is now likely to miss Liverpool’s next match with Huddersfield this Saturday.
