The Reds won the game 3-0, and Alexander-Arnold put the match to bed with his sensational free-kick goal late in the second half, which Keown took one key learning from.

He believes that Alexander-Arnold’s ability when it comes to a free-kick is similar to David Beckham’s.

“The reason they let Alexander-Arnold take those free-kicks is he has a wonderful talent for putting the ball in the back of the net,” Keown said on the BBC.

“The way he whips it, it’s like Beckham.”
