Andy Robertson not satisfied with 2018

Andy Robertson

Andy Robertson has made it clear that he is not satisfied with what Liverpool have achieved in 2018 as he seeks trophies in 2019.

The left-back has been instrumental in Liverpool’s rise over the past 12 months. His performances have left many believing he is the best left-back in the country.

Robertson featured in Liverpool’s Champions League final loss in Kiev back in May, but that has left him wanting more, which has driven him this season in search of silverware.

The Reds are currently top of the Premier League having accumulated 54 points after 20 matches, and if Liverpool can continue that type of form in the league, the Scot may get his wish.

“At Anfield we’ve been incredible,” the Scot told Liverpoolfc.com.

“You can throw in the special Champions League nights we’ve had here as well. It has been a special year at Anfield – I’m sure the fans have enjoyed it and so have we.

“But now it’s about taking that form into 2019 because nothing has been achieved this year.

“We came close of course in May and we have started well this season but we need to go into 2019 and hopefully that calendar year can bring a trophy.”
