Club chief slaps £43m price tag on Liverpool target but it depends on one thing

Liverpool are one of a host of clubs interested in signing Sandro Tonali this summer and if Brescia are to be promoted to Serie A, Massimo Cellino will demand closer to €50million for his prized asset.

The 18-year-old has been compared to Andrea Pirlo for his shared hometown, his looks and natural ability to dictate play from deep.

His signature is a coveted one, with clubs across Europe keeping an eye on the young midfielder.

Calciomercato – via Inside Futbol – claim that Brescia owner Massimo Cellino will demand an extra €15m for Tonali if his side is promoted to Serie A.

They are currently top of Serie B and are likely to be promoted to Italy’s premier domestic competition next season which could be bad news for Liverpool and Roma, who are believed to be favourites to land the young maestro.

Paul Joyce has claimed that Liverpool currently don’t plan on spending big this summer which would almost certainly rule out spending over £40m on a teenager.
