Inter Milan Reportedly Move for Liverpool Attacking Target

Rumoured Liverpool target Nicolas Pépé is attracting a lot of attention. It must be nice.

This season still has plenty of fire left to burn but already the summer transfer rumours swirl around us. Jürgen Klopp won’t be adding many players to his team in the coming window but there are gaps to be filled in his squad in order to continue Liverpool’s growth.

Lille winger Nicolas Pépé is reportedly a target for the Liverpool recruitment arm of the club. The Frenchman and Ivory Coast international has been in impressive form in Ligue 1 this season and will be available in the summer.

L’Equipe in France are claiming that Inter Milan have just submitted a €70million (£60m) offer to Lille for Pépé, potentially kicking off the bidding war that Lille will hope turns into a lucrative transaction for their club.

Pépé plays as a left-footed right winger at Lille, just as Mohamed Salah does at Liverpool. He would be interchangeable throughout Klopp’s front three, and provide meaningful competition for Salah.

The Reds front office is said to be mulling over a deal for the player but there are plenty of other clubs who will be interested in Pépé and plenty of time for that number to grow as summer approaches.
