Liverpool receive £18million after striker completes transfer
Liverpool loanee Danny Ings has completed his permanent transfer to Southampton, according to the Echo.
The forward spent the 2018/19 season at St Mary’s where he enjoyed regular game time, scoring eight goals in 25 appearances.
The 26-year-old grew up supporting Southampton and rejected moves to Leicester and Crystal Palace to rejoin his old club.

The deal was good for Liverpool too, who pocketed at least £18million once the transfer was made permanent on July 1.
A further £2million in add-ons could follow depending on how many appearances Ings makes, with a 20% sell-on clause furthered sweetening the deal.
Ings joined Liverpool in 2015 but never really featured under Jurgen Klopp after suffering two serious injuries during the German’s tenure.
