Rumour Mongering: Liverpool Eyeing Fulham Teen Star

The Reds are reportedly interested in signing Harvey Elliott
Liverpool are reportedly one of many clubs considering making an offer for Fulham teen sensation, Harvey Elliott. The 16-year-old player made his Premier League debut in May, becoming the youngest ever player to do so, and has been referred to as an “unbelievable talent” by Fulham manager, Scott Parker.
Fulham is naturally keen to keep Elliott on for as long as they can, but the Evening Standard reports that the player has failed to sign a new contract with the club and that he’s attracted the interest of the likes of the Reds, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and RB Leipzig. Per the report, Liverpool have a slight edge over the other clubs named because Fulham would receive a far higher fee for Elliott if he chooses to stay in England.
Elliott has scored five goals and assisted in four others in his eighteen appearances in the U18 Premier League.
“Often you find that transition is very difficult for young players but with him you wouldn’t know and that’s probably the sign of a top player or someone who has the ability to be a top player because the transition he has made has been very smooth,” Parker said of Elliott in May when he made his debut for the first team.
“He is a technically gifted football player. A special talent. He has got a naturalness about him, an ease. He is very clean with the ball, can handle the ball very well for someone so young.”
It’s very hard to say if this rumour has any basis in reality, but Klopp does seem to be in the market for youth talent that he can work with and help grow. Elliott may end up ticking that box nicely for the club.
