Klopp would take Kane over Firmino, Danny Murphy claims
Former Liverpool and Tottenham striker Danny Murphy claims that Jurgen Klopp would take Harry Kane over Roberto Firmino if given the chance.
The Reds host the North Londoners at Anfield this weekend in the Premier League and despite their poor form, Spurs will be a threat that the hosts will take careful note of.
While I don’t personally believe that Kane would be a better fit for Liverpool’s front three, his finishing and movement are elite and could cause serious problems for the Reds.
Of course, Virgil van Dijk and co. will feel confident that they can keep the visitors quiet.
Speaking on TalkSport (23/10/2019 at 5:20 pm), Murphy said: “He’s certainly capable of playing in any team in the world. He has the lot already. He is the finished article. He has a strong mentality. Physically very good, and when he’s fit and at it, he is one of the best. I think he has a big decision to make
“If Kane were to be in City or Liverpool’s team they aren’t going to be any weaker, are they? No. He could play instead of Aguero. And I think you would take him ahead of Firmino.
“I don’t want that to underestimate Firmino’s importance to Liverpool, but if you were Jurgen Klopp and you said you can have Kane? He’d score more goals.”
