The Dutch international has finally linked up with the squad in Pennsylvania.

Ryan Gravenberch is one of the last players to finally return to the Liverpool fray, joining the Reds in the US to continue their preseason tour. Gravenberch has arrived after participating with the Netherlands in Euro 2024. He’s likely to see his first action with Arne Slot’s side on Saturday when Liverpool take on Manchester United.

Gravenberch spoke to the official site, explaining his excitement to take on his role in the Slot machine (geddit?).

“Happy to be back, happy to be here and happy to see the faces again,” he said.

“Honestly, I had a good, I think, almost three weeks off and I enjoyed it a lot – mentally good again, not thinking a lot about football [and] just enjoying the holidays. Now we’re here again. Hopefully I get some minutes and I can play again.”

Gravenberch made his Liverpool debut last year, and he’ll be looking to gain some more playing time to carve out a place in Slot’s midfield going forward.

“Really good impressions,” Gravenberch said of the new coach. “He really wants to play football and me personally as well. So, happy that he’s here and happy that we can train and play.”

Gravenberch doesn’t have much time to touch base with his teammates before the next preseason challenge this evening. If he gets any playing time, it will likely be for the last 20 minutes or so to get acclimated.

After that, there’s only two weeks until the Premier League begins (how??) against newly promoted Ipswich Town on August 17th.
