The former gaffer is apparently pleased that Liverpool fans will get to see some behind the scenes action from his emotional final season.

Netflix is currently finalizing a miniseries about Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Liverpool, with a planned release date in January.

The series, produced by the same company, Lorton Entertainment, who produced movies on Diego Maradona and Steven Gerrard (Make Us Dream), started working on this production last season. The idea was to “subtly capture the squad,” as they put it, “without encroaching on private spaces.”

Given past envelope-filled fiascos in previous miniseries at the club, it is understandable that both the club and former manager would’ve wanted a great deal more care and tact around any future projects. Hopefully this series walks that fine line.

“With this being my final season, I thought we should provide a rare opportunity for viewers to have more of an inside look at what makes this club so special,” Jurgen said.

“Its people, from our fans to our players and those who work so hard behind the scenes, constantly in pursuit of success for Liverpool Football Club. Thanks to this new documentary series, viewers will be able to see what I see every day at this great club, and understand those amazing people more.”

Hopefully this series is a good send off for Jurgen, and moreover, just good and not embarrassing. Again. Envelopes.
