Jürgen Klopp Set to Return to Liverpool Before Final Game of Season

The former manager will be at an LFC Foundation charity gala two days before the season closer against Crystal Palace and could take part in title celebrations.
Jürgen Klopp is returning to Liverpool, with the club’s legendary manager set to visit the city as an honorary LFC Foundation ambassador ahead of the final game of the 2024-25 season with the Reds a near certainty to have locked up their 20th domestic title by the time he arrives.
That news was made official today when the club announced that Klopp will attend the club’s season-ending charity Gala Ball on Friday, May 23rd at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral as a guest speaker. Two days later, on the 25th, the Reds host Crystal Palace at Anfield in the season closer.
For the moment the club are keeping quiet on if Klopp will attend the final match of the season or be involved in any celebrations, but the former manager has an open invitation to do so from current manager Arne Slot and for our part we’d bet a little Klopp involvement is in the works.
“Everyone knows how much I love the work of LFC Foundation,” Klopp said of his upcoming trip to Liverpool as an honorary club ambassador, “and I can’t wait to join them to celebrate that work and help to raise important funds for them to continue the incredible things they are doing.”
Previously, Klopp has suggested that if the Reds were to win the title—or any major trophies this season—there were tentative plans for him to return and be involved in some manner, though he’s ruled out being on the bus with the players and current coaches in any celebratory parade.
