Both the goalkeeper and the striker return to training today, with two days of work ahead of Sunday’s match. Their return has been categorized by Liverpool head coach Arne Slot as “a certain extent both positive,” with the lateness of the pair of returns a real detriment.
Given his position and its requirements, Alisson is perhaps the likeliest to see a large chunk of game time, as the Reds hope to secure Champions League football and pay respects to the departing giants of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson.
