After the game, former Reds Graeme Souness and Jamie Carragher discussed the result:

Souness: “Another great advert for the Premier League. Two great teams going for it. It was a fabulous game of football. You very rarely see that in football.”

Carragher: “Madness – that is what makes the Premier League. It was just a brilliant game – Spurs deserved a draw.”

Carragher then discussed the role of Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius in the lead up to the Spurs equaliser:

“It is not like it drops to someone right on the edge of the box, he gets a good punch on it, but more often than not that is never going to go in.”
