Klopp after dramatic Spurs draw: “I cannot believe some of the decisions today”

After Liverpool drew 2-2 against Tottenham Hotspur due to a late controversial penalty decision, Jurgen Klopp gave his thoughts on the game to Sky Sports.

Klopp: “It was two sides, both wanted to win desperately, how always we have to take it, that is how it is.”

Klopp seemed unhappy with some of the refereeing decisions in the game, and it seemed like he plans to talk the referee about them.

“I am not allowed to go into the referee’s room for another half an hour, do you think he comes to me and tells me why he gave those decisions?! We all know, the first one was NOT a penalty.

“You need to be sure in the last minute, he (Moss) obviously wanted to be in the middle of the interest but we cannot change that.”

Klopp once again seemed unhappy with the decisions of some of the officials.

“How can you control the game against Spurs for 90 minutes? The quality is too high, the result was massively influenced by linesman’s decision. I cannot believe some of the decisions today.”

Klopp gave his thoughts on the second penalty decision.

“Yes, Virgil Van Dijk touched him but Lamela wanted a touch and jumped into him.

“It is hard to accept some of the decisions today – you have to defend with big passions and we did, but we didn’t get the benefit of it today. What can I say?”

Klopp’s last statement, will be agreed with by many Reds fans tonight.

Klopp: “It is incredibly hard to accept some of the decisions today.”

Liverpool travel to St Mary’s exactly a week today, as they play Southampton with a 4:30pm kick-off time.
