Liverpool To Add Preseason Training Camp In France

Get your Nabil Fekir conspiracy thread ready, folks.

Liverpool’s preseason schedule is already packed, including a tour of the US for the International Champions Cup, and a friendly against Napoli, among other fixtures. Now, Jürgen Klopp is eyeing a week-long training camp in France, between the Manchester United fixture in Michigan on July 28th, and the Napoli friendly in Dublin on August 4th.

The idea is for a similar camp to the one Klopp & Co. conducted last year in the southern Bavarian town of Tegernsee, on the shores of a lake by the same name, in the shadow of the Alps. Now, the town of Evian is reportedly the front runner, which also happens to be on the shores of a lake, in the shadow of the Alps.

For those looking for hidden meanings, it would be easy to think about our current lack of French internationals in the squad, and how a training camp in France might be great for any potential Nabil Fekirs, I mean French internationals we might sign. And Lyon are among the clubs who have held training camps in Evian. So this is pretty much a sure thing, just like when we signed a German international before our training camp last year. That happened, right?
