Liverpool have no interest in Domagoj Vida this summer
Liverpool have no interest in Croatian centre-back Domagoj Vida despite reports suggesting otherwise, according to The Liverpool Echo.
The latest reports suggested Liverpool had submitted a bid of £19.5million for Vida, but the reports are false as Jurgen Klopp has no intentions of signing a new centre-back this summer.
Joel Matip’s latest setback has not changed Klopp’s attitude either. The injury Matip sustained against Borussia Dortmund in Charlotte will rule him out for a fortnight, which more than likely means he won’t be available for Liverpool’s opening Premier League clash against West Ham United at Anfield.

Dejan Lovren won’t return to training until six days before the West Ham clash, so it is unlikely he will start. That will leave Ragnar Klavan to partner Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the defence.
But, despite a lack of options for the opening game, Klopp does not feel the need to buy another centre-back.
