Harry Wilson Shines in Final Round of Internationals

Liverpool’s internationals finished their obligation to their countries on Tuesday. Naby Keïta became the final victim of this vicious week, having limped off the field when Guinea played against Rwanda in their first African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Liverpool star of the day was Harry Wilson, who scored a stunning free kick to earned Wales a victory against the Republic of Ireland in the UEFA Nations League. The score at the final whistle was 1-0, with Wilson’s goal the difference between the two teams. Fellow Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn was an unused substitute.
Simon Mignolet got 90 minutes for Belgium when they played against the Netherlands in a 1-1 stalemate. While Virgil van Dijk was back on Merseyside dealing this his injured ribs, Gini Wijnaldum spent this game on the bench.
Over in South America, Brazil beat Argentina 1-0 in a friendly, with Liverpool’s three Brazilians, Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, and Alisson Becker all featuring.
Now that the October international break has concluded, the players will filter back to Melwood to train for the next game against Huddersfield. It’s unknown yet who will actually be available for the match, with a handful of minor injuries hampering several of the team’s key players.
