Liverpool are capable of winning the Premier League, says Benitez

After Liverpool beat Newcastle United 4-0 at Anfield on Boxing Day, Rafa Benitez said his former side are capable of winning the Premier League.

With Arsenal visiting Anfield on Saturday, Liverpool will need to be at their best to ensure their hard work over the last month isn’t undone.

Since the Gunners held the Reds to a 1-1 draw in North London, Liverpool have reacted superbly, winning their last eight games in the Premier League.

“I think they showed they are good enough to win the title, yes,” said the Newcastle manager.

“I’ve said before and I said before the game they have a very good team and a very good squad and have very good players on the bench.

“If you want to win a league title then you need to be consistent and they can do it.”
