Mo Diame says Newcastle are ready to fight against Liverpool
Mo Diame believes that in order for Newcastle United to get a result against Liverpool, the Magpies will need to work harder than ever and be as defensively sound as possible.
Liverpool are four points clear at the top of the Premier League and go into 2018’s Boxing Day fixture against Rafa Benitez’ side hoping to maintain their push to win the title for the first time in almost three decades.
While I’m sure the Spaniard would love to see his former club go and win the league, he will need to do his absolute best to get a result against Liverpool and Mo Diame says he and his teammates are ready to push the Reds all the way.

Diame told NUFC TV: “We know it will be tough, we know we will run a lot, but we need to be ready.
“We’re going to start the game at 0-0 and make sure we keep our clean sheet and try to score when we get the chance because in most games, you get at least one or two chances, so we will get chances.
“We have to stay strong, stay compact and make sure we are ready for this game. They are a team which has a lot of potential up top with top players, so we need to be strong, keep the shape and keep fighting as we are doing.”
