Liverpool’s receive major Champions League blow as key man misses training camp
Dejan Lovren hasn’t travelled to Liverpool’s warm-weather training camp in Marbella and is a huge doubt to face Bayern Munich in a week’s time.
The Croatian, if passed fit to play, will be one of two centre-backs available to Jurgen Klopp to face his Bundesliga rivals but in the likelier event that Lovren is unable to play, the German manager will need to play Fabinho as a central defender again.
Virgil van Dijk is serving a one-match suspension that he earned during the group stages and will only be available for selection in the second leg.

Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com in Spain: “Dejan is not here and Joe [Gomez] is not here.
“That’s never a good sign, I would say, but we will try everything to make Dejan available for Munich. It will be a tight race.
“For him, it makes sense in the moment to be in another place to do what he has to do. It wouldn’t have helped if he was here, so we will try everything – that’s clear.”
