Naby Keita says he wants Timo Werner to sign for Liverpool this summer

Naby Keita says that if Timo Werner is on the move this summer, he would love to be reunited with his former RB Leipzig teammate.

The duo was devastating for the Bundesliga outfit and while Keita is beginning to hit top form in Red, fans have wondered what it would be like if Werner joined the club.

It seems quite likely that Werner could leave Leipzig in the summer with German football expert Rapha Honigstein claiming the total outlay of signing him could total £87million.

“We played very well together in Leipzig, and he was one of my best friends there,”Keita said.

“It’s clear: If he’ll be on the move, I ask Timo to join us here at Liverpool.”

Signing Werner this summer would bolster the Reds’ attacking ranks hugely and provide Jurgen Klopp with the depth in forward areas that he hasn’t had since arriving at Liverpool.
