Liverpool are interested in signing Isco Alarcon from Real Madrid this summer to add increased levels of creativity in midfield, according to reports from Italy.

Nabil Fekir was a player that the Reds were on the verge of signing last summer as Jurgen Klopp had identified a lack of creativity between midfield lines but when the deal was ultimately called off in June, an alternative was not sounded out.

While Liverpool have done incredibly well to be in the position they are, not having a world class operator in midfield could cost Klopp and his players the Premier League title.

According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, Manchester City will face competition from Liverpool in the summer as far as securing Isco’s signature is concerned.

The Spaniard has found it incredibly tough to come by game time under Santiago Solari this season and is certain to leave the capital in the summer if Real Madrid don’t hire a new manager.

Signing Isco would certainly be one of the most impressive transfers regardless of what happens in the offseason but it would also be uber expensive.
