Mohamed Salah has made best start to a Liverpool season ever

Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah has made the best start to a season since joining Liverpool from AS Roma for £34million in 2017 but few people are taking notice.

He scored and assisted for Liverpool on Wednesday as his side beat Genk 4-1 in Belgium to move into second place in Champions League Group E.

While he hasn’t seemed as devastating or terrifying to defenders recently, the ‘Chelsea flop’ has scored and assisted 11 times in 11 games this season – his best start a season since he joined the club.

There aren’t many supporters who have recognised this superb output but it’s time we started worshipping our Egyptian King once again.

Liverpool face Spurs at Anfield on Sunday and Salah being on song will be vital to securing a win over Mauricio Pochettino’s men and getting back to winning ways after Manchester United slowed the Reds down somewhat.

Heading into the Premier League showdown on Merseyside this weekend, the home side has won 25 out of a possible 27 points in the league this season and will be keen to make it 28.

Salah is threatening to break his own goalscoring records if he maintains his goalscoring form but hopefully, he gets back to his devastating best in terms of dribbling and movement.
