Twitter basks in Virgil van Dijk defensive error

Virgil van Dijk made an error against RB Salzburg that opened the door for Hwang Hee-chan to score the first of his side’s three goals.
The Dutchman has set an unbelievable standard for central defenders in Europe and it’s to be expected that every now and then he won’t be able to make the grade himself.
He lunged in to block a shot from Hee-chan and was made to look a fool by the South Korean’s change of direction and the subsequent finish left Adrian with little to do aside from flap helplessly.
The reaction on Twitter from rival fans and Manchester United supporters, in particular, has proved one thing: Liverpool are on top at the moment and any failure, no matter how minuscule, will be celebrated.
United, who somehow justified spending £80million on Harry Maguire should be the last ones making fun of defensive errors as their new signing and the most expensive defender on the planet allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score on Monday with an awful attempt at the offside trap.
The Reds’ eternal rivals are 10th and 12 points behind Liverpool despite the fact that only seven Premier League games have been played so far this season.
Liverpool will travel to Old Trafford after the international break and hopefully Jurgen Klopp’s men can compound Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer’s worries.
