The young Northern Irishman looks set to play a part as the Reds look to tackle a monster month of fixtures.

At his pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool FC’s trip to Sheffield for their Premier League fixture tomorrow, manager Jürgen Klopp mentioned Conor Bradley as an option at left-back as the Redmen look to play the seven remaining games out of eight in a very busy December. Kostas Tsimikas has been the first-choice left-back, in light of Andy Robertson’s injury. However, the boss has been keen to stress that rotation at the position will occur as the Greek Scouser cannot play every game until Robbo returns. (Plus, Kostas clearly needs sleep.)

“It’s just about us and who is available. Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez, can one play left-back because Kostas can’t play all the games. We will see. Trent obviously [played well] in the last game.”

The 20-year-old defender is one of the Reds’ most exciting prospects and has been on the verge of breaking into the first-team setup this season. He flourished out on loan with Bolton Wanderers last season and most recently made a cameo off the bench in Liverpool’s 4-0 win against LASK. Able to play at both fullback positions, Bradley won the Bolton Wanderers’ Player of the Year Award for the 2022–23 season while also receiving the Players’ Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards. He shared the last award with current Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford.

With Joël Matip’s months-long injury, Joe Gomez will likely have to play more minutes at centre-back again. That could open up some minutes for Bradley to deputise. Can’t wait to see what you do, kid.
