Rumour Mongering: Malen “Not Totally Happy” at Dortmund
The player’s representation is angling for a move away from the Westfalenstadion.
Just a week after rumours between Liverpool FC and Borussia Dortmund attacker Donyell Malen resurfaced via a report from BILD, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has now chimed in with his update on the 24-year-old Dutch attacker.
According to him, Malen is unhappy at Dortmund, and his agency SEG is sounding out the market for a move, with English clubs said to be interested. A potential transfer could happen at the price of £25.7-30 million/€30-35 million.

It’s easy to see why Malen would fit a Klopp team. He’s a speedy, technically sound two-footed player who can slot in easily on the wings and even as a central attacker. Once again, the issue is that Liverpool already have five quality forwards in Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo. A move for Malen is unlikely to materialise unless one of those attackers departs from Anfield first.
