Egypt and Japan kick off their respective international tournaments tomorrow.

Although both Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo played their last match for the Reds against Newcastle on New Year’s Day, they will only begin their respective international tournaments—AFCON and Asian Games, with Egypt and Japan, respectively—tomorrow.

Endo will lead Japan out against Vietnam tomorrow, 11:30 AM BST, and Salah will do the same for Egypt against Mozambique at 5 PM BST.

Egypt’s will then face off against Ghana on the 18th (8 PM BST) and wrap up the Group Stage against Cape Verde on the 22nd (8 PM BST).

Japan’s other group stage matches are against Iraq on the 19th (11:30 AM BST) and against Indonesia on the 24th (11:30 AM BST).

Both Egypt and Japan are expected to qualify out of their respective groups, and in both tournaments, a select number of 3rd placed finishers will qualify for the knockouts, making their continued international run more likely.

The tournaments run until February 10th and 11th, meaning that both players could miss out in the league matches vs. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Burnley. However, if Egypt and/or Japan are bounced before the semifinals, they could be available for Arsenal.
