Andy Robertson to Miss US Pre-Season Matches
The Scottish defender has had a challenging summer
Arne Slot has confirmed that Andy Robertson is likely to miss the USA leg of the pre-season tour through injury, though he has traveled. The left-back had a challenging time at the Euros, where he clocked a lot of minutes in less than full fitness.
He is undergoing a rehabilitation program with the team at present, but will not be considered as a player for pre-season matches until the team returns home.
At his press conference in Pittsurgh, Slot confirmed this timeline: “He is not fully fit yet. But we are expecting him in the end of the tour – maybe just after the tour – to be fully fit again.
“He took a small injury into the Euros and afterwards he had to recover from that after playing those games. But we will expect him back after our tour – but he joined us over here.”
