Liverpool’s left-back is set to achieve a major moment with the club in their match against Tottenham.

Reaching 100 appearances with any club is a big achievement and doing so at Liverpool is even moreso. On Sunday, with Liverpool FC Women taking on Tottenham, left-back Taylor Hinds is set to make her 100th appearance for the club.

As is customary for such occasions, the club are honoring the Vice Captain with a feature inside of the match day program. In it, they’ve turned to interim head coach Amber Whitley and team captain Niamh Fahey to talk a little bit about Hinds’ contributions to Liverpool.

Whitley led off with a reflection on Hinds’ leadership and consistency.

“She’s well-loved and respected in the dressing room and is a brilliant leader for us on the pitch.”

Fahey echoed those sentiments in terms of Hinds’ being a consistent and steady performer, but highlighted a bit more of the defender’s technical ability.

“Taylor’s so comfortable with both feet that sometimes when you see her play on the right – as she has done a couple of times recently – it’s hard to believe that she normally plays on the left. She’s a consistent performer and has captained the team brilliantly over the last couple of seasons when I haven’t started games.”

It will be a great moment for Hinds and the club when she makes that mark officially with the match against Spurs. Liverpool will hope to celebrate that moment by taking advantage of a Spurs side in fairly bad form and continuing to push on in what has been a welcome improvement for the club under Whitley’s time at the helm.
