• Pre-Match: Klopp has certainly brung the changes today with Daniel Sturridge up top and Xherdan Shaqiri and long missing Adam Lallana returning. I mean we all know about the injuries so let’s not dwell on it and just hope we smash Klopp’s best man.
• AND WE’RE OFF. This team is gonna be.... well it’s gonna be something.
• Liverpool doing well to keep possession in these first ten minutes and that’s about all that’s happening. There seemed to be some confusion between Lallana and Shaqiri who was playing where in the beginning but now things have ironed out.
• There’s been lots of good work so far but very little has come of it so far but we’re also hardly twenty minutes in so hopefully we’re able to make something stick.
• GOAL! THERE IT IS! Thankfully, it’s Mohamed Salah picking up a ball from Shaqiri and doing what he does best and putting the Reds ahead.
• Has anyone spotted Patrick Stewart yet?
• Hahahaha, welcome back Lallana, here’s a yellow card for your efforts.
• Alisson has really gone all out for shots that have missed the goal entirely. I love it?
• It’s nice to see this makeshift team playing so well -
• And then there’s a questionable handball and a goal disallowed by Huddersfield for being offside. Hahahahaha.
• Halftime: The Reds look promising after getting a little sloppy there towards the end of the first half, but leading going into it feels good.
• Klopp makes a halftime change and it’s Georginio Wijnaldum on for Jordan Henderson and uh. I don’t like these feelings. I don’t like that change.
• A whole lot of nothing. Alisson has had a great save though so it’s nice at least.
• Some beautiful build up play as Joe Gomez bombs down the channel and gets ready for Mo to take a shot from distance but he takes one too many touches and loses the chance, ending up in a corner.
• I’d like to maintain this 1-0 lead, though, so I’ll take a lot of back and forth play.
• ALMOST! Salah picks up a gorgeous long ball from Sturridge and has the perfect chance but sends it just barely wide.
• We need to find some confidence again and start banging them in again and I don’t know how they do it, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
• Fabinho comes on for Lallana after Lallana takes a weird fall and rips his shorts all the way up.
• I don’t know what that change is going to accomplish but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
• BRING ON BOBBY!
• What the fuck just happened?? We got a corner and then Sturridge got a yellow for.... kicking it????
• Roberto Firmino comes on for James Milner in the last change of the match but let’s be real we could use Bobby’s chasing right now.
• UGH ALMOST. Salah squandering another chance again by trying to get closer to the goal and giving everyone else a chance to shut him down. Frustrating.
• AND BOBBY WITH A CHANCE and he skies it. God dammit.
• We haven’t been particularly BAD because we’re winning but we haven’t been exactly stellar either. Also it’s Huddersfield.
• Four minutes of extra time so maybe we can get one more?
• Aren’t we supposed to be not tired after an international break? What is rest?
• Final: That was fine.
